Evraz taps new iron ore, boosts self-sufficiency
Evraz Kachkanarskiy GOK (Evraz KGOK) continues to develop its Sobstvenno-Kachkanarskoye iron ore deposit and has started mining ore from the new SKM open pit.
Previously, mining was carried out only in the original open pit. Preparations for the start of ore mining were carried out within three weeks.
In 2022 about 10 million tonnes of ore are planned to be shipped from the Sobstvenno-Kachkanarskoye deposit, Kallanish notes.
