Evraz grows merchant coal sales, mulls coal demerger

Evraz is mulling a demerger of its coking coal mining assets, currently consolidated under its Raspadskaya unit, in order to run its steel operations independently, the company says.  Evraz reduced raw coking coal mining volumes by -21% on-year in 2020 to 20.65 million tonnes, despite a rise of 26.1% on-quarter to 6.02mt in the fourth quarter.
