European Commission makes no substantial safeguard measure changes
The European Commission says it is adding a new annex to the existing regulation regarding safeguard measures on imports of certain steel products.
The decision has been taken following a request from a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel in 2022. This stated that the EU should bring its definitive safeguard measure into conformity with the Agreement on Safeguards and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT 1994).
