EU imports mark new record in 2021: Eurofer
Finished steel products imports into Europe marked a new record in 2021, surpassing the previous annual high recorded in 2019, Kallanish learns from the latest Eurofer economic report.
In November 2021 alone, imports reached some 5 million tonnes, well above the previous monthly record of 4.5mt registered in August 2019. Overall, in 2021, Eurofer calculates imports reached almost 32.5mt; back in 2019 these stood at slightly above 30mt.
