EU drives Turkey's scrap imports' rise over January-August
Turkey's scrap imports' volume increased 12% in January-August, after rising by 11% in January-July, drvien by increasing intake from the EU, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
Scrap imports totalled 12.9 million tonnes over the eight months. Their total import value grew by 39% to $3.5 billion, the association says in a statement.
