EU comprises 59% of Turkey's January-August scrap imports
The European Union (EU) was Turkey's largest scrap supplier in January-August, with a 59.2% share in the country's total scrap intake, says the Turkish Steel Producer's Association (TCUD).
Turkish scrap imports rose 4.6% on-year to 11.5 million tonnes in the eight months through August, supported by a 25.8% growth in intake from EU to 6.8mt, Kallanish learns from a TCUD statement.
