Essar Steel March-quarter flats output surges 25%
Essar Steel’s output of flat products rose 25% on-year in the fourth fiscal quarter through March to 1.5 million tonnes, while iron ore pellet production grew 21% to 2.3mt, Kallanish learns from the Indian steelmaker.
In the fiscal year through March 2017 flats output surged 47% on-year to 5.6mt and pellet output soared 60% to 9.3mt. Within flats production, output of value-added steel rose 20% to 2.8mt.
