Esfahan Steel enjoys Oman, UAE demand
Esfahan Steel (Esco) exported 585,000 tonnes of steel in the five months through 22 August, with Oman its largest customer with 175,000t, Kallanish learns from Iran’s third-largest steelmaker.
The total tonnage is equal to around 80% of Esco’s exports in the full Iranian year through 20 March 2017. United Arab Emirates was Esco’s next-largest market after Oman, taking in 109,000t, followed by Afghanistan with 81,000t and Thailand with 68,000t.
