Erdemir increases capacity utilisation, sales in first quarter
Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari (Erdemir), part of Oyak Mining Metallurgy, Turkey’s only integrated flat steel producer, posted crude steel production of 2.264 million tonnes in the first quarter.
Of this, 916,000t was manufactured at the Eregli steelworks and 1.348mt at İskenderun (Isdemir). This accounts for 24% of Turkey's total crude steel production, the firm points out.
