Eonmetall’s 1Q profit up despite lower revenue
Malaysian flat steel products maker Eonmetall has reported higher earnings in the first quarter ended 31 March, 2024, despite lower revenue, Kallanish notes.
The firm says in a bourse filing that its net profit surged more than three times to MYR 20.83 million ($4.44m) in the first quarter from MYR 6.4m a year ago.
The firm’s revenue for the quarter, however, slipped 8.42% to MYR 40.65m from MYR 44.39m.
