Emirates Steel reduces rebar quote
Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Steel (ESI) has decreased its rebar price for November deliveries by AED 162/tonne ($44/t) from the previous month to AED 2,016/t ($549/t) ex-works.
However, the steelmaker is effectively selling at the same price as for October deliveries, as it offered a heavy discount last month in order to encourage sales. Global prices of iron ore, scrap and billet have hardly budged since ESI’s last price announcement three weeks ago.
