Emirates Steel hikes rebar steeply on scrap/billet rally
Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Steel (ESI) has raised its rebar price by a whopping AED 234/tonne ($64) from the previous month to AED 2,250/t ($613) for January deliveries, market participants tell Kallanish. The price does not include the 5% VAT due to come into effect in United Arab Emirates from 1 January.
