Emirates Steel commissions carbon capture unit

Emirates Steel (ESI)’s joint venture carbon capture (CC) project with Al Reyadah has begun operating. The CC unit will sequester up to 800,000 tonnes/year of CO2 gas from ESI’s two direct reduced iron plants for re-use in United Arab Emirates’ oil production.
