Egypt's Ezz Steel reduces rebar price
Ezz Steel is leading the reduction in May-shipment rebar prices in Egypt, Kallanish understands.
The steelmaker has reduced its rebar price by EGP 870/tonne ($45) to EGP 19,170/t ($910) ex-mill for May shipments. Dollar conversions exclude the 14% VAT levied in Egypt.
The announcement was made shortly before the start of last weekend, which has extended into the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
