Institute expects US manufacturing downturn throughout 2020
The economic downturn caused by the Covid-19 pandemic is expected to continue throughout 2020 with significant declines in the manufacturing sector, Kallanish learns from the Institute for Supply Management.
According to a forecast issued by the institute, manufacturing revenue is expected to decrease by -10.3% in 2020. This is -15.1% lower than the projected growth of 4.8% for 2020 forecasted by the institute in December.
