Eastern Steel starts 80t converter
Malaysia's Eastern Steel has last week started the operation of its No.2 80-tonne converter, Kallanish learns from an official company source.
The project started design in 2019 and construction began in 2020. After being put into operation, the steelmaking workshop of Eastern Steel in Kemaman, Terengganu of Malaysia will produce about 2.7 million tonnes/year of crude steel.
