EAFs support Turkey's February crude steel output rise
Turkish crude steel production grew 15.6% year-on-year to 2.74 million tonnes in February, driven by the increase in scrap-based production, Kallanish understands from a Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) statement.
"Turkey’s crude steel production continued its rally in February resulting from the base effect and improved scrap/iron ore balance," TCUD economic affairs director Sahap Ataman comments in a notice.
