DRI plant drives Ezz 2016 profitability, says bank
Ezz Steel should enjoy healthier margins in 2016 as the recent gas price reduction for steelmakers in Egypt helps increase its cost advantage over scrap-based producers at home and in Turkey, according to EFG Hermes.
Improved gas availability will also support Ezz’s direct reduced iron integration, forecast at 75% in 2016, especially after the newly-commissioned DRI plant will drive improved production at Ezz Flat Steel, the investment bank says.
