Turkish production, consumption continue steep decline, exports increase
Turkish finished steel production fell -19.2% on-year in January-July to 19.3 million tonnes. Long steel production dropped drastically, by -24.6% to 11.7mt, while flat steel production was down -8.9% to 7.6mt, according to Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD) data monitored by Kallanish.
