Dongkuk formally welcomes its first CSP slab
South Korea’s Dongkuk Steel Mill held a ceremony on 22 March to formally mark the first rolling of plate using slab from its Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP) joint venture in Brazil. The company has long planned to have its own crude steel capacity but is in the process of moving away from reliance on plate production, Kallanish notes.
