Dongkuk appoints vendor for idled plate mill
South Korea’s Dongkuk Steel Mill has appointed Dutch firm Hilco Industrial Acquisitions to sell its 2 million tonnes/year plate mill in Pohang. The move is part of the company’s shift of focus away from Korea’s troubled shipbuilding sector, Kallanish notes.
