Dongbei Special Steel misses another debt repayment
China’s Dongbei Special Steel has announced a failure to make another bond repayment which should have been completed on 6 September, the eighth time it has failed to pay this year. According to Bloomberg, local authorities are seeking central government approval for a debt-for-equity swap plan, although this was denied by Dongbei Special Steel in May, Kallanish notes.
