Domestic wire rod prices inch up in UAE
Emirates Steel Arkan (ESA), the largest long steel producer in United Arab Emirates, has increased its March-rolling domestic wire rod price by AED 79/tonne ($22) on February to AED 2,479/t ($675) ex-works and delivered to Abu Dhabi. This is for 6.5-14mm diameter AISI/SAE 1006-1008 grade.
Delivered quotes to Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates are at AED 2,503/t ($682), Kallanish learns from market sources.
