Domestic sales spark Borusan's first half shipments fall
Turkey's Borusan Mannesmann Boru (BMB) registered a -4.7% on-year fall in shipments to 366,000 tonnes in the first half, hit by a decrease in domestic sales, Kallanish notes from the pipemaker's interim activity report.
Exports rose 6.25% y-o-y to 238,000t, but sales at home dropped -20% to 128,000t. Sales to foreign markets had a 65% share of BMB's total prime quality product shipments in H1.
