DMZ increases steel output, pig iron falls
Ukraine's Dneprovskiy Steel Mill (DMZ, formerly Petrovka), part of DCH Group, produced in February 24,000 tonnes of steel, up by 4.3% compared with January, Kallanish notes.
However, pig iron output fell by 10.5% to 23,000t. Production of rolled products increased by 56% to 17,000t.
Since the beginning of the year, the plant has produced 30,000t of steel, 49,000t of pig iron and 28,000t of rolled products.
