DMZ increases first-quarter steel output, coke production falls
Ukraine's Dneprovskiy Steel Mill (DMZ), part of DCH Group, increased steel and coke production in March, the company says.
Last month, DMZ produced 10,600 tonnes of rolled metal and 16,000t of coke, which is 16.1% more than in March 2022, Kallanish notes.
In the first quarter, the plant produced 29,400t of finished steel. In Q1 2022, DMZ did not produce steel products due to a shortage of coal and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
