Dillinger supplies plate for Norway bridge project
Dillinger Hütte has delivered around 600 tonnes of high-quality thermomechanically rolled steel for the Bøkfjord bridge in Norway, expected to open for traffic at the end of this month.
The bridge over the Bøkfjord was mostly built in Nordhausen, Germany, Kallanish notes. The individual parts were transported to Wilhelmshaven and assembled there before they floated to Norway on a pontoon, a ship similar to a barge, Dillinger explains. The…
