Dillinger delivers plate for Japanese wind park
German platemaker Dillinger Hütte reports it has supplied approximately 26,300 tonnes of heavy plate for the Akita Noshiro offshore wind farm project.
According to the mill group, this is the first large-scale offshore project ever built in Japan. Dillinger supplied plate for the monopile foundation structures, in thicknesses ranging from 50-100mm, Kallanish learns.
