Iranian steel output grows amid electricity supply measures
Iranian finished steel output inched up in the first half of the Iranian year, 21 March-22 September. Growth was recorded for all steel products except hot-dip galvanised coil.
Notable administrative measures to facilitate electricity supply during restrictions over summer have spurred the growth, according to an Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) note posted on its online Chilan portal.
