Lira depreciation lifts Turkish domestic scrap prices

Most Turkish steelmakers have increased their domestic scrap buying prices since last week. This is mostly a result of the fast depreciation of the lira against the dollar, from 6.072 to 6.156 per dollar on Wednesday, as well as continuing firm domestic scrap demand, Kallanish notes.
