Demand for Italian coil stagnates as prices weaken
Demand for Italian coil remains subdued this month, with prices stable on-week. Compared to mid-September, however, contracts have lost some €20/tonne ($20.9) due to the small volume of sales, Kallanish notes.
Consumption in Italy and other European countries for cold rolled coil and hot-dipped galvanised coil was quiet in September but should resurface this month due to the need for restocking.
