Danieli to oversee Texas rod mill modernisation
Optimus Steel has tapped Italian equipment supplier Danieli to modernise its Vidor, Texas, specialty wire rod mill, Kallanish learns from a Danieli release.
Danieli will install two high-speed shears on the 1 million tonne/year minimill, as well as supporting equipment. Danieli will also oversee modernisation of the minimill’s water treatment facility and its electrical and automation assets.
