CSP slab production, sales fall in first quarter
Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) saw both production and sales fall year-on-year in the first quarter, Kallanish learns from data issued by South Korean joint venture partner Dongkuk Steel.
CSP’s slab production reached 690,000 tonnes in Q1, just 0.4% more compared to Q4 2020, but down by 2.5% y-o-y. Q1 sales amounted to 658,000t, a fall of 10.2% m-o-m and 12.5% on-year.
