CSC develops ultra-thin EV motor silicon steel
China Steel Corporation (CSC) in Taiwan has developed 0.2 millimetre-thick silicon steel to produce motors for electric vehicles (EVs). It can already mass produce these products with 0.25-0.35 mm thickness. The company has supplied these ultra-thin silicon steels to an international carmaker and the annual order could reach 4,500 tonnes.
