December's crude steel production falls 6% y-on-y in Germany
German crude steel production fell by nearly 6% in December, compared to December 2013, Kallanish notes, meaning output has finished 2014 barely 0.7% up year-on-year.
However, the country's output is in line with early-2014 expectations of around 43 million tonnes, says steel producers federation WV Stahl, up from 42.6mt in 2013.
