Chinas crude steel output rises 0.9% to 822m t in 2014
China produced 822.7 million tonnes of crude steel in 2014, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Although this was another record high, a revision to the 2013 production figures meant growth was just 0.9%, the slowest since 1981, Kallanish notes.
