Covid-19 impacts Mexican automotive industry in May
Mexican automotive output was impacted sharply in May as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak and the quarantine period during which production was practically halted, Kallanish notes.
According to the Asociación Mexicana de la Indústria Automotriz (Amia), the sector produced only 22,119 vehicles in May compared to 350,060 units during the corresponding period in 2019.
