Covid-19 hampers Mexico’s May steelmaking raw materials output
Mexico saw its steelmaking raw materials' output decrease in May and year to date, according to data from local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) monitored by Kallanish.
Mexico produced 545,933 tonnes of iron ore during May, down by -43.9% year-on-year and -6.8% lower compared to April. January-May output reached 3,350,461t, or -28.1% less than in January-May 2019.
