Covid-19 pushes Siderca into new production stoppage
Tenaris Cono Sur, part of the Techint Group, is preparing to reduce production as well as work shifts at its Argentinian tube maker Siderca, says chief executive Javier Martínez Álvarez. The move is due to a temporary contraction in demand as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The plan foresees a two-week stoppage followed by two operating weeks of low production and activity levels next month. Siderca’s production was also halted in June.
