Colombia’s iron ore, steel exports remain weak
Colombian iron ore and steel exports decreased month-on-month in June, according to local statistics institute Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) data monitored by Kallanish. Shipments abroad also remained down during the first half of 2021.
Steel and iron ore exports amounted to 11,917 tonnes in June, down 12% on-year. The value of these, however, was $48.3 million, almost 34.2% higher on-year.
