Colombia’s iron ore, steel exports recover in July
Colombian iron ore and steel exports increased month-on-month in July, according to local statistics institute Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) data monitored by Kallanish. They remained down year-on-year, however, as well as in the first seven months of 2021.
Steel and iron ore exports amounted to 15,291 tonnes, up 28.3% over June but down 5.8% on-year. The value of these was $54.9 million, 53.3% higher on-year.
