Colombia’s iron ore, steel exports fall in April
Colombian iron ore and steel exports decreased month-on-month in April, according to local statistics institute Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) data monitored by Kallanish. Shipments abroad also remained down on-year.
Steel and iron ore exports amounted to just 8,973 tonnes in April, down 17% on-month and 37% on-year. The value of April exports was $40.3 million, almost flat m-o-m but down 8.4% on-year.
