Colombian ore, steel exports inch up in September
Colombian iron ore and steel exports grew month-on-month in September, according to local statistics institute Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) data monitored by Kallanish. They were also higher year-on-year.
Steel and iron ore exports amounted to 29,397 tonnes, up 53.8% over August and 133.1% higher on-year. The value of these was $124.3 million, compared to just $38.7m in September 2020.
