Cold-finished bar imports hit high in May
US imports of cold-finished bars rose to their highest level in at least a year during May, Kallanish learns from steel import data collected by the US Department of Commerce.
According to Census data collected through 1 July, US imports of cold-finished bars totaled 14,635 tonnes in May, up from 11,440t in April. The leading countries in cold-finished bar exports to the US during May were Italy and Canada with 4,366t and 2,698t, respectively.
