Colakoglu cuts emissions, costs with new equipment
Turkey’s Colakoglu Metalurji is installing new Smart Steel Technologies' SST Temperature AI software in order to achieve precision temperature control in melts, the company says.
The installation of the technology, which will be implemented live without interruption to the melting process, will enable savings on energy costs and reduction in CO2 emissions, while leading to increased stability of electric arc furnace operations, Kallanish notes.
