Coking coal surge seen hurting Indian BF mills
The surge in coking coal prices will hurt Indian blast furnace-based steelmakers dependent on coal imports, according to credit rating agency ICRA. Their production costs have risen some INR 5,750/tonne ($86), or 17% of the October hot rolled coil price.
