Cliffs returns to historical Cleveland-Cliffs name
US iron ore supplier Cliffs Natural Resources is re-adopting its 1891 moniker, Cleveland-Cliffs Inc, Kallanish reports.
The name change is tied to the company’s 170th anniversary, according to a company release.
The seeds of what is today Cleveland-Cliffs began in 1847 with the formation of the Cleveland Iron Company to mine ore in Michigan.
