Cleveland-Cliffs reports Q1 loss
US producer Cleveland-Cliffs realised a loss of $42 million on sales of $5.3 billion in Q1, though ceo Lourenco Goncalves highlighted success in the automotive sector during the quarter, Kallanish learns. The company earned $814m on sales of $5.96 billion in Q1 2022.
Cleveland-Cliffs shipped 4.1 million short tons in Q1 - 36% was composed of hot rolled coil, 29% coated, 15% cold-rolled, 5% plate, 4% stainless and electrical, and 11% for rail.
