Cleveland-Cliffs attributes profits to raw materials strategy
North American flat-rolled producer Cleveland-Cliffs shot deep into the black during the second quarter, Kallanish reports.
Cleveland-Cliffs earned $795 million on sales of $5 billion in Q2, up from a loss of $108m on sales of $1.1 billion in Q2 2020. During 2020, Cleveland-Cliffs acquired both AK Steel and ArcelorMittal USA to become North America’s largest flat-rolled steel producer.
