Cleveland-Cliffs acquires more Minnesota territory
US iron ore supplier Cleveland-Cliffs has acquired additional prospective properties in Itasca County, Minnesota.
The purchase from Glacier Park Iron Ore Properties includes ownership of 553 acres and leases for a further 3,215 acres.
Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed, Kallanish notes.
Some of the included acreage formerly belonged to then-bankrupt firm Essar Steel Minnesota. That land was not included in Chippewa Capital Partners’ rescue…
